Photobook Conversations #1 'Mental Health' pt.5 'A View From Inside'
Do you want to talk about photobooks?
Come along to our studio in Belfast.
Another book for the August meet is by Alexa Wright ‘A View From Inside’. Published by White Card http://white-card.co.uk/#popAlexa .
Each month, we will select photobooks for discussion. Owning the book is not a prerequisite for attending the discussion group, as we will endeavor to choose a book which has images and information available online. We want the book club to be accessible to all and we will have a copy of the book in the studio for the event. Naturally, if you have a copy you are welcome to bring it along.
During the evening, we will consider the photobook as an object and artwork, and we will discuss different aspects which go into producing each artist’s book. We will also introduce other books around the same theme and discuss how different artists have approached similar subject matter.
Above all, the evening will be an informal and, hopefully, interesting event designed to provoke discussion.
